An 11-year-old boy was shot in a Sydney apartment; three teens were arrested.
Three men were arrested after an 11-year-old boy was shot inside a Norwest apartment. The boy was at the Moda complex on Fairway Drive when the shooting happened on Monday evening.
Paramedics found him conscious and speaking when they arrived around 5pm. The boy's condition worsened during transport to Westmead Children's Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
The child was with four 18-year-old men and a 44-year-old woman when the shooting occurred. Police say charges are likely but not certain pending further interviews and searches.
The firearm has not been found. Some occupants were family of the boy while others were friends.
Police do not believe the incident is linked to organised crime and are investigating whether the gun was fired accidentally.
