Man charged after shooting victim found seriously injured in Geraldton
A 30-year-old has been charged over a shooting that left a man with a serious leg wound in WA's Midwest.
A man was shot in the leg in the early hours of Wednesday morning near Moonyoonooka, just east of Geraldton. The victim was found just before 1am and taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Armed police fanned out across the region and arrested five people at a property in Utakarra. A 30-year-old man from Wonthella has been charged with endangering a person's life and wilfully destroying evidence.
He is due to face Geraldton Magistrates Court today. Police said the alleged shooter and victim are known to each other but have declined to reveal details about what led to the incident.
