Scott Pendlebury moves to the Suns for pick 65, ending his 21-year Collingwood career to mentor the young team.
AFL games record holder Scott Pendlebury has moved from Collingwood to the Suns in exchange for pick 65. The 38-year-old spent 21 seasons at the Magpies, playing 442 senior games and winning five club best and fairest awards and six All-Australian selections.
Pendlebury played just 17 games this year under coach Craig McRae but still earned a fourth ANZAC Medal with a 43-disposal, two-goal performance against Essendon. Pendlebury will serve as a playing mentor for the young Suns with a view to a future coaching role.
