Grandfather admits drug offences after two police stops

Clifton Causby, 46, was caught with ice, GHB and MDMA during two separate police encounters in July.

Causby was stopped riding a bike without a helmet on July 16 near Melrose Drive and Brockley Street in Wodonga. Police found methamphetamine, GHB and an MDMA tablet.

Causby was bailed but stopped again on July 29 near Lyndren Street. Police found 8.2 grams of methamphetamine in four bags, two sets of scales and deal bags.

A drug supply charge was dropped in court on September 18, but Causby admitted to several possession offences. The magistrate described him as "another sad product of the use of drugs".

Causby was released from custody after 51 days on remand and plans to live with his parents.
