Post office staff stand firm as Adelaide robber quickly backs down
A man attempted to rob an Adelaide post office but immediately abandoned the plan when staff refused to hand over cash.
A man in a bright orange jumper walked into an Australia Post branch in Magill, Adelaide on July 13 and demanded cash. When the teller refused, he quickly changed his mind, fumbling through his bag and leaving within seconds.
Minutes later, he was spotted on CCTV removing his orange top in a bid to disguise himself. Police have released the footage hoping to identify him.
He was described as about 165 centimetres tall, of large build, wearing black pants, sneakers, sunglasses, gloves and a beanie. No staff were physically harmed during the incident.
