Woman arrested over alleged murder escape assistance
A 28-year-old woman was charged as an accessory after the fact to murder in a September 2 shooting.
Joshua Macdonald, 40, was shot outside a Merrylands West home on September 2 at about 3.15pm. Police believe he was killed by mistake in a botched gangland hit.
Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on September 11 in West Hoxton. An 18-year-old was charged with murder and participating in a criminal group.
A 19-year-old faced charges of participating in a criminal group. A week after the arrests, police arrested a 28-year-old woman from Wollongong.
She was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, participating in a criminal group, and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order. Police allege she provided surveillance to help the gunman escape.
She is expected to appear before Bail Division Local Court on Saturday.
