Woman dies in domestic violence stabbing in Kooringal
A 31-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 23-year-old woman following a stabbing in Kooringal on Saturday morning.
Emergency services went to a home on Ziegler Avenue, Kooringal, at about 11.45am on Saturday, September 19, after reports of a stabbing. Officers found the woman had what looked like stab wounds.
Emergency workers tried to save her life, but she died at the scene. Police say the man and woman were in a domestic relationship.
An 18-year-old man was arrested about an hour later but was released without charge after helping police. The 31-year-old was arrested at a Menzies Avenue property at about 8pm and charged with murder (domestic violence).
Police ask anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV to call Crime Stoppers.
