Man critically injured after falling from balcony during police visit in Sydney
A 32-year-old fell from a third-floor balcony in Waterloo. Police were at his unit investigating an ongoing matter.
Police arrived at a unit on Cooper Street in Waterloo about 1:30pm on Tuesday. They came to speak with a 32-year-old man as part of ongoing investigations.
The man refused to open the door. The 32-year-old tried to leave via the balcony while police remained outside.
He fell. He got serious injuries after falling three floors.
Paramedics treated him at the scene. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in stable condition.

The Professional Standards Command will conduct an independent review. The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission will provide oversight.
