Two men charged after domestic violence stabbing in Hunter
Two men have been charged after a targeted domestic violence stabbing left a 23-year-old man injured at Muswellbrook.
Jerome Neville, 20, and Desmond Charles Watts, 40, were arrested after an early-morning attack on Sydney Street about 2.30am on Friday. Neville has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Watts faces charges as principal in the second degree. Police allegedly seized knives, cannabis and items believed to be linked to the incident.
The Hunter's specialist high-risk domestic violence offender team and the Northern Region Operation Support Group made the arrests. The 23-year-old victim was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital in stable condition.
Both men were refused bail and will next appear in Newcastle Local Court in November.
