Teenager charged after 11-year-old shot in Sydney home
An 18-year-old has been charged with concealing a serious crime after an 11-year-old was shot in the face and neck.
The boy was shot inside a unit in Norwest, in Sydney's Hills District, on Monday afternoon. The boy was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he remains.
Four 18-year-old men and a 44-year-old woman were at the luxury apartment when police arrived. Three of the men were arrested; two were released pending further investigation.
One 18-year-old was charged on Tuesday with concealing a serious indictable offence and is in custody. Police found no indication the shooting was linked to organised crime.
The boy's mother was distressed by the incident and was by her son's bedside in hospital.
