Porsche and Toyota collide fatally at Point Cook
A 67-year-old woman and her 33-year-old daughter died when their Toyota Corolla was hit by a Porsche in Point Cook, Melbourne.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Boardwalk Boulevard and Innessfail Drive around 9.40pm on Wednesday. A 53-year-old driver of the Porsche Macan sustained minor injuries and was not under police guard as he assisted investigators.
Nearby residents rushed to help but the two women's injuries were too severe. Police are investigating the speed at which the Porsche was travelling in the 60km/h zone at the time of impact.
The stretch of road is residential and witnesses said they heard a loud impact before the collision.
