Perth shooting linked to disturbance at same complex two days before
A man shot in Hamilton Hill on Sunday is believed linked to a disturbance at the same complex two days earlier.
The man was shot at the corner of Karda Way and Yongka Road just after 4:30am on Sunday. Security footage showed several men sprinting from the scene, with another seen staggering and clutching his abdomen.
The man called out for help on a nearby street where a member of the public gave first aid before he was taken to hospital. The man has since been discharged.
WA Police revealed Wednesday that detectives linked the shooting to a disturbance at Karda Way unit complex entrance two days earlier. One person was taken into custody following a raid in Aveley on Monday but was released without charge.
Police Commissioner Col Blanch said all parties were believed to be known to each other and investigators had good understanding of who was involved. No firearm has been seized.
