Two men zip-tied on Melbourne-Doha flight after claiming to have gun
Passengers restrained two men on a Qatar Airways flight to Doha after they allegedly assaulted crew and claimed to have a gun.
Two passengers on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha disrupted the flight on Friday afternoon when they allegedly assaulted cabin crew. While in the air, the pair headbutted and spat at staff while shouting they had a gun.
Other passengers quickly subdued the two men, with about six to seven people working together to keep them under control. The men were zip-tied by fellow travellers during the flight.
When the plane landed in Doha, it was met by local authorities. The Australian Federal Police has not yet commented on the incident.
